'Memories in Your eyes ' is the 4th song of the concept EP - 'Birth of The Sun'. It is the transforming song of the EP musically and emotionally. Written originally by Ali Talaea for improvising sessions of the band, the lyrics written years later inspired Ali to put it into a tune and track it in Amadeus Studios in Cairo.

This song is the transformational work of the EP.

In my readings I found a pattern when all of a sudden intense events happen in a society that was pretty much stable, conservative and reactive. Sometimes people pull back, even have a dark moment, even get lost. A high point of energy in an individual’s life or a community history is often followed by a low key moment.

I think maybe in the years that followed the main protests, hitting a hard reality of social, economical and political choices did get Egyptians to despair. But same as a person when he or she breaks a chain, they cannot go back to the same tunnel, the same way, when they despair. It doesn’t fit them anymore, they are bigger than it now.

I wanted to convey the depth of this passage, this stage, and the resolution to look forward.
